It all began in 2018 when a 15-year-old created an app called '5wasara', which quickly became the first free educational app in Sri Lanka and amassed over 10,000 active users in just 6 months. Consequently, the company was incorporated in Sri Lanka as Smart Edu Solutions (PVT) Ltd. in 2019. Since then, the company has been on a mission to develop educational tools, platforms, and software for stakeholders such as private tutors, schools, organizations, and even the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka.
